What happens at the appointment meeting?

On the day of the appointment, you have to submit

1.the completed form in order to open your case file. Under the condition that they consent, an application for adults under your authority may be introduced.

2.all identity documents as well as any other document relevant to your application for international protection to the agent.

You will receive a receipt.

A MFEA (MAEE) agent will

  • register your personal data
  • take a photograph of you (of each applicant).

An agent of the Judiciary Police Department will

  • proceed to the verification of your identity and investigate your travel route to Luxembourg.
  • take your finger prints.
  • search your body and your belongings, if necessary.

Any object useful for the assessment of your application will be kept and you shall get a receipt.

Important:

You need to submit a translation into German, French or English for all documents which are not written in any of these three languages. This does not apply to identity documents. Any document not translated into one of these three languages will not be considered during the procedure!
